Historically gov. have done more atrocities than private companies. I trust gov. even less than i trust private corporations.

The idea that we should force people to pay for something YOU (or me) think as good, is not moral.

I prefer that it would be done by private companies who allow a high amount of user oversight

A person writes a book. Its a hit! It brings joy and happiness to millions. They freely give him money for his book abd he becomes a millionaire.
He adapts it to movie and brings even more joy and happiness to humanity. As a by product he becomes a multi millionaire.
He creates a corporation to manage parks and rides, and people just can't get enough.

His company is worth trillions.

At what point those this person become evil?

What a load of crap. No one is denying non European contributions to math and science. Its a made uo issue. Acknowledging this point is not an antidote to exceptionalism. After all, science didn't take root (aka the industrial revolution) in thise places.

There are other antidotes to *ethnic* exceptionalism. Read "Guns Germs and Steel" and "Why nations fail" for examoles.

@amerika Diversity works up to a point. Researches show that SOME diversity helps propel nations to economic success. But too much diversity cause friction and reduces trust which harm the economy.

@amerika Every growth is sustainable IF economic freedom is applied.

The bad part of diversity stems from non assimilating minorities. As they grow in numbers and in factions, trust in society erodes. But if a minority assimilates into the general population then the diversity is reduced, making room for more emigration.

That is why a steady, small (relative to general size) and selective emigration is good for a country.

1. What is the size of the non assimilating Asian populations.
2. How many Socialist policies are enacted in your area.

If they are over 10% and have a lot of socialist laws, you get problems.

@amerika The problem is not the difference, but the assimilation. First there was slavery. Then Jim Craw laws. Then leftist ideologies that promoted their "separate and conquer" tactics.

Look at the Chinese and other Asians. They assimilated very nicely.

@amerika Tribalism is innate. but it's something that we don't need in a free society. Or we can make it very big, like "German", "French" etc.

In a socialist economy a persons success relies not on how much he can produce, but on how much he can take. So he takes for himself. His family. Blood relatives, and takes from those who are not in those circles.

That is how tribes are created.

@amerika Jewish law evolved. During the muddle ages it became a network of autonomous community with their own laws. If some one broke the law, or a contract, he was punished. Sometimes even corporal punishment but mostly banishment. This enabled Jews to rely on contracts and create trading network. Culture has to do with it, but it's mostly rule of law.

@amerika For free market trust is needed. It can be done through tribalism. For instance Jews were very good merchants because they always found another Jew and they trusted them.

But if you take a closer look you will see that Jews trusted each other because they trusted Jewish law. They knew they will get justice if wronged.

It's the trust in the rule of law, and not tribalism, which propels a free market.

@amerika Yes, trust is the basis of society. It's easier to build trust in a family and in a tribe. But it's can expand beyond that.

In Israel Ashknazi Jews (white) came together with Yemanite Jews (black) to form a state. It's because they created a larger tribe than their actual tribe. They built one based on principals.

Germany was split into many tribes, and they formed Germany, because of their shared values.

In the end tribes is the primitive form of shared values.
