I was building some spreadsheet integration in my project, so I started using the Libreoffice Java API's.
Are they really as outdated as they feel? I mean even the examples use currencies in their demo code and it includes DEM, which was replaced with the Euro in 2002, which gives me a suggestion as to when it was written?
What is the official way to communicate with a Libreoffice instance?
I wonder if @libreoffice know the answer.
@aral @shoq I know nothing about this guy, but this post was very poorly written. Directionless, and made a weird turn into UK politics before it just ended without any conclusion.

@alcinnz yeah, I'm using it to build a multiplatform bignum api for Kotlin, and I've come to realise that the end result may be convenient (blends well with Kotlin), but there are so many features of GMP that I'm not taking advantage of.
@raktheundead @alcinnz At least Algol 68 had proper error handling. Go is in many ways a step backwards.

The grammar of the sentence is a bit messed up, seemingly in order to get an å in there.
