Why do people keep feeding Medium their hard work (their writing and tutorials)? Self hosting a blog is so darned easy and cheap.

The Immich news today I hope is the start of a trend. Vitally important projects that will help us be freed from the clutches of the big few tech companies nurtured and protected.
I do hope the FUTO turn out to be the good guys their site appears to make them out to be. Time will be the judge. But it's a very promising thing. Congrats to the #immich project.
