@Ann_Effes There's something clearly wrong, as we do a lot of testing on macOS and don't have those problems. Good to hear the latest update appears to have fixed it, though! 😊

@Ann_Effes That definitely shouldn't happen. LibreOffice isn't perfect, but it certainly shouldn't hang for two minutes when saving files. What operating system are you running, and what's the specification of your machine? @the5thColumnist Yes, the 24.2 branch will be maintained for a bit longer, and we will wait for 24.8 to receive one or two point (bugfix) releases before rolling out the update checker notification to all users.

@yusuff The LibreOffice 7.6 branch reached end-of-life (EOL) a few months ago, so you're strongly recommended to upgrade to a maintained branch 😊

@Lenni @mjdxp We can't count stats on infra beyond our control, of course, but we can make some estimates. In any case, yes, the vast majority of Linux users get LibreOffice from their distro's own package repos (which means they're often older versions, but that's another topic 😉)

@onlytina @LibreOfficeDE You say adding a page number doesn't work "with a single menu item", but that's incorrect. You can go to "Insert > Page Number..." in the menu, and then in the dialog that appears, click "OK", as this screenshot shows.

@fistfulofdave @jake4480 LibreOffice can definitely save in .docx format (and many others). BTW, did you try the tabbed version of the user interface? (Under the menu, View > User Interface). Feel free to also let our @libodesign community know your feedback!
