@aetus @kkarhan @mozilla @ubuntu Yes, OpenOffice hasn't had a major release since 2014, and is barely being developed. For the last decade, virtually all work has been in LibreOffice!

@avon_deer @aetus @kkarhan Use whatever works for you! Just note that OpenOffice has problems getting security fixes on time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_OpenOffice#Security – So to be secure, there's LibreOffice, which is actively developed and maintained.

Usability enhancement coming in #LibreOffice 7.6, later this month! The "Recent Documents" menu can now show files for the currently used module (eg Writer or Calc) first.
