Hyprland is my WM. If I used a DE it would be KDE.

Biggest issue I had when I switched to Linux about 12 years ago, were WIFi drivers and crashes after updates. I don't remember the distro I started with, just that it was Ubuntu based, but I quickly switched to Arch based distro - Manjaro, slow, bloated and crashed literally every 2 days! Now I am using Garuda with KDE, but I must admit I am playing around with QTile and if we ever have WM with Wayland compositor based on it, I am definitely switching.

My favorite distro for the past 3+ years is Garuda. I use the KDE and Qtile editions. Theys made a lot of useful suite of tools and helped with migration to KDE 6 (Wayland part of it does not work though). I would move to a wayland based dynamic tiling WM, but Hyprland dows not want to work for one of my apps and currently there are no other good choices, plus what I am reading about the lead developer and their community isn't good.

Finding tiling managers. Right now I am using qtile. Tried Wayland tiling managers - Sway and Hyprland and had different experiences. On Sway everything works, but nit on Hyprland.
