The tipping point must be reached. Unfortunately in the underdeveloped populous countries like India these rogue corps have a captivated market. It will be difficult for some to throw the shackles.

Partially explained by the profit motive and viewing of students as customers and teaching as business. But all said and done, in most places, academics still have a level of independence unthinkable in the industry.

OTOH, the job of an academic can be very satisfying and life enhancing, depending on how one views their jobs. A lot of hard work perhaps little pay, but the pleasures of the opportunity to live at the bleeding edge of one’s disciplinary knowledge is life giving in itself
