Thank goodness for find and replace. I'm trying to retrain my muscle memory, like I did when I stopped using two spaces after periods. (But of course when I turned in my MFA thesis, the committee made me add the spaces.)

This is an editor contracted with the book packager Iโm working for, so not a publisher. Fiction mostly uses the Chicago Manual of Style, I believe. Iโd have to look up whatโs standard for that.
