The big question is who will use this data, applied for what decision and what does a prisoner do if they disagree?

The new UK #DataBill tries to make automated decisions without human review possible. It's very likely that this tech won't be fit for purpose and will result in discriminatory decisions.

The UK Home Office has extended a programme to supply Mosques, temples and Synagogues with security equipment through the US-owned Esotec Ltd.

We're highlighting the risk that cloud stored #CCTV data across all sites could be seized by security services through secretive #surveillance powers.

This would happen without the knowledge of people running or attending places of worship, community centres or faith schools.

NHS England is facing a judicial review over the contract for the Federated Data Platform that was recently awarded to #Palantir.

Foxglove, the Doctors’ Association UK, National Pensioners’ Convention and Just Treatment argue the #NHS has no legal basis for setting up the Platform.

It was thanks to Subject Access Requests that teaching assistants and librarians were able to find out that the UK Department for Education is keeping files on their internet activity.
