Why? Today is something a bit different: an anthology cover album for trans rights! The indie label FADER has brought together a bunch of artists, including trans and queer artists I've shared here before, to raise money for the Transgender Law Center, Mermaids UK, and Rainbow Railroad. Buy it on bandcamp to support these organizations!
Where to start?
I mean, if Ezra Furman is doing something, I’m probably going to talk about it. This is probably one of her folksiest tunes, a cover of “12,000 Lines” by Big Thief.
The goal is to create a zine that I will publish every two months. Each issue will focus on an area or topic of gender euphoria, including practical how-to's, short essays reflecting on gendery things, and even an advice column! Yes, you and anyone else can send in questions about how to pursue your euphoria!
The first several issues will be focused upon gender euphoria for trans fems, but if I get enough support I can help pay for trans masc contributors to join the project and expand to trans masc focused issues. That's the goal anyway. If this goes really well, we may branch out into other topics and areas as well.
It's #FlirtPackFriday and I would love to unpack you and push all your buttons, just like this typewriter. Come #flirt with me, #queer and #trans folk?
Comment to opt in to flirting, or leave a selfie for admiration. (Read my pinned thread if you need guidance)
I'm still saving up for a "beard removal". A good amount has now been raised. About 85€ out of 250/500. From now on, I'm going to go containerising more in the hope of saving some money.
So if you're up for it and have a few € left over, I'd be very happy to take them, but sharing and spreading the word would also be very useful and get my gratitude.
Hey everyone! I’m Ellie, a visually impaired queer actor based in Brighton, UK. I’m really passionate about authentic representation of disability on-screen and uplifting the voices of other disabled actors/creatives. If you’re queer and/or disabled, I’d love to chat! I love feeling represented/seen and I hope I can help others to feel the same.
Also, Mastodon is overwhelming so bear with me while I figure it all out.
I'm a disabled Indigenous queer person who exists on Jobseeker, which means almost 50% ($269/week) below the poverty line ($489/week).
After living in the same house for almost 10 years, I recently had to move as the new landlords decided to renovate so they could increase the rent.
Moving has cost me over $4000, and ended up putting me almost $2500 in debt.
Because of moving, my JobSeeker payments have been decreased by over $100 a fortnight until Centrelink approves my lease paperwork and I can get rent assistance again.
I'm in a new house with a new landlord, and am barely able to make rent at the moment, let alone cover bills and food.
I hate asking, but please consider helping if you can - I'd be super grateful.
