As part of STF; GNOME has been working since the end of last year on resolving the matter.

The main issue is that we currently lack a way to “snoop on” or “grab” key events from the compositor.

We now have a draft protocol and implementation in Orca and Mutter thanks to @matt

We are doing our best to get it ready for GNOME 47.

Wczoraj oglądałem filmik 'świat linuksa' na yt odnośnie Linux Mint i jego wyższości na daily (może przesadnie teraz to naświetliłem), ale do brzegu.

Poruszone było porównanie, jakoby Mint był lepszy od Ubuntu, że Cannoncial jest drugim MS. Zrobiłem sobie research na reddit i faktycznie społeczność twierdzi, że cannoncial idzie w telemetrię, zbieranie danych etc., jak MS. Taki drugi MS w świecie Linuxa.

Mint niby tego nie robi.

Krótkie szukanie i po pierwsze w trakcie konfiguracji Ubuntu, można wybrać, czy ma automatycznie wysyłać dane, czy nie (ja miałem ręczne wysyłanie), a idąc o krok dalej, można usunąć programy, które te dane zbierają i pozbyć się telemetrii:

Dlaczego więc Mint miałby być lepszym wyborem, aniżeli popularniejszy Ubuntu, który ma świeższe paczki w repo?
