Pixelfed Groups will allow admins to have fine-grained ACL permissions, you will be able to limit specific user permissions!

In addition, admins will have the ability to review all moderation actions from other mods/admins and all actions from the account.

Later we plan to ship support for webhooks, allowing admins to deeply integrate Groups into their platforms or services!

Pixelfed Groups has a feature called SlowJoin mode that allows you to define fine-grained permission limits for several actions.

In addition, all group activities from users, mods and admins are logged in an easy to browse Interaction Log. Should you need to apply limits to a specific member, you can limit most actions on the member tab!

We pioneered the concept of cross group moderation in 2021, and are in the final stages of implementation.

My goal for this week is Groups!

@pixelfed Groups will ship with a full federated role and moderation system with audit logs, per user interaction limits, slow-join mode, fine grained permissions (ie: user must be a member for X days in order to do something) and group migration/delegation/consensus votes to prevent malicious takeover attempts and to give group members the power to organize their own migration to another server with new admins
