@kkarhan @Hyolobrika yeah mental health being a barrier to firearms ownership almost makes sense on some levels, but again the problem is a centralized authority on which conditions might make a person unsuitable to carry a firearm is a problem, and I think making losing access to firearms a consequence of seeking help seems counterproductive. I think it's more likely for people to avoid seeking help if there is a risk for them to be diagnosed with something that reduces their freedoms.
