@wgiwf My pastor did not mention it at all and focused on the readings from Mass about how we can know Jesus by following his commandments. Also the first reading was from Acts 3 which is where St. Peter chastises the Jews for killing Jesus and demands that they repent and convert. I'm pretty sure my priest is aware of the JQ but can't confirm 100%.

They put the Middle East as one of the things to pray for in the general intercessions part, no mention in the homily.

Right, that’s what we had. I think including “lasting peace in the Middle East” was within this priest’s usual minor jabs at corrupt and evil world leaders. Of course he’s also given some fairly scathing homilies about human-run governments as a whole. Christ is the only true king after all.
