     @alex If they want a bridge to Nostr to Mastodon, can't there be a second bridge that keeps compatibility? Just spitballing here.

     @alex @feld I did attempt changing the username before on pleroma, and it seemed to be respected on mastodon, as long as AP ID/inbox/outbox stayed the same (which it doesn't without additional patches, I used nginx rewrite rule to patch that up). Post counter was broken but all the posts appeared in the same profile.

     @feld If users on Nostr change their username, Mastodon will treat them as a brand new account with no followers, and people will have to reestablish following relationships with them.
