The first is to bitch on Kiwi Farms and Twitter, and mock those responsible. This sometimes works, but either the parties responsible will regroup and rebrand, or new people will take their place.

The second is to adapt some of their strategies. One forum posted about a smaller scale version of what Silverstring/Sweet Baby Inc has done. There's a whole "Boomer Shooter" grift with random shit indie devs making "safe edgy" 90s inspired shooters which tick all the same boxes, but there's one thing in common.

There's somewhat of a welfare system at play. Gianni Matragrano (duke nukem vasectomy guy) will do the voice acting or have credits, while Civvie 11 will do reviews of the games to market them to the masses. After all, these developers make sure to say the magic phrase after all.

In a way it's a smaller scale, lower budget version of what happened during GamerGate with how deep the corruption was running with devs like Phil Fish. They were simply playing the game the way it was intended, they had people there doing marketing, an awards show that was clearly having conflicts of interest, and if anything Phil Fish was just his own worst enemy.
