What in the world is a Wrap Terminal? Well, it is a terminal built using Rust that includes several features, such as AI and cloud connectivity. However, it is worth noting that it is proprietary, meaning it is a 100% closed source. Additionally, users are required to have an account to use it. It is also bloated by design. No, thank you. I'll stick with the Gnome Terminal or Terminal macOS app. No matter what they say, you don't need the "Wrap Terminal" with bells and whistles. #privacy
@nixCraft Lol I've read so many comments about this, they really managed to go viral with their alacritty-but-bloated-and-proprietary! AI and Cloud... maybe they should have put some blockchain stuff in there, too!! I guess they missed that terminal using people are not falling for investor bait bullshit.
@nixCraft Also their examples of "generative code AI" is noob level stuff like exposing a port on a docker container.... Like for what target audience is this? Kiddies who want to flex with their "AI powered" terminal? I dont get it
@nixCraft I thought you were old school and have a table with 2 ADM 3a's, 1 Vt100 withj hollywood scroll enabled, and a Televideo 925. And of course a chair on wheels- that's what a window system was in 1980.
