   I think the most interesting thing about Trump is that it exploded the myth of the 'Imperial Presidency" that was created during the Watergate coup d'etat. The funniest thing about it is libtards constantly rush in to provide evidence that the President in fact is not an absolute monarch just to dunk on Trump personally. The very fact that you see no problem with saying "liberals vs. Whigs" is the main thing - the Whigs were liberals on both sides of the Atlantic, always were. There are no "American Tories". A remnant of the actual Whig party still exists in the UK, they're called Liberal Democrats now.

     There were always two sets of competing values involved in setting up america: Liberalism and whigism. The freemasons, jews and neo-imperialists were the supporters of the latter, and the former was mostly (but not always) an obstacle for them to overcome.
     
     Overall the areas they control and the institutions they have been most successful in infiltrating are the big centralised "national statist" (as you put it) ones. The regions and populations which were more inclined towards liberalism have remained the most free.
     
     They have certainly tried to claim ownership of the liberal cause to lend themselves legitimacy, but it doesn't take more than a cursory examination to see the lie.
