     部屋の半分をカーテンで囲みました

     It's a green screen. Half the room is draped in it.

     I thought it will help with contrast for motion tracking.

     @Misato That too, but you don't need one to be a Vtuber for there is software that doesn't require green screen. So this is for software that does require a flat background to capture motion.
