     close, but not quite

     “しれいかんなんかに” is two words, “しれいかん (shireikan)”, “なんか (nanka)”, and the particle “-に (-ni)” at the end

     @lapin "but... why does prairie look like a girl?" is what i can be mostly certain of, no idea what the specific meaning of "しれいかんあんかに" is, but my gut feels that it's something along the lines of her pretending to be a human girl
     
     or so what i remember about the story and the hentai of her

     or, alternatively, i imagine they’d just remove any mentions of “girl”. maybe something like:

     >”But I didn’t think you’d be the commander of the ship. How come?”

     @lapin@varishangout.net if I'm reading that right as him asking why a girl like prairie is the commander, a lolcalizer would probably change it to be him being impressed it's a girl
