     @coolboymew@shitposter.club Have a coworker from Korea tell me she's trying to save money to get her freckles removed and it made me see red.
     
     The beauty standards and culture of that shit is worse there than it is in the U.S. It is seen as completely normal to give ur kids that as a gift.
     
     In general, unless ur a burn victim or something like that I think surgeons who perform this shit are preying on mentally ill/insecure ppl. I wish parents who encourage this shit would get shot.

     @coolboymew@shitposter.club It was genuinely depressing when she said that. I didn't even notice she had em until she leaned close.
     
     But the fact she was so bothered by such an insignificant thing (especially since u can use makeup) made me so sad.
     
     This applies to everyone too, like I'd never want to see any of my friends feel the need to make such drastic changes.
