@Robert_Edwardly @PvtProperty This is the exact reason why all zoomers are either chronically depressed, constantly working so they don't need to think about it, or desperately trying to become multimillionaires (because normal millionaire is unironically not enough). There's genuinely no point for the vast majority of us outside of hopeless hedonism and there is pretty much no way to get that emotional weight lifted outside of that temporarily for the majority of us. Even the youngest parents of zoomers genuinely do not understand how bad it is and cannot fathom why we act the way we do and why our motivations are the way they are. There is no hope in the old systems and the new systems only have enough room for the extremely smart, lucky, and those that have already made it simply due to the nature of it. It's excessively brutal and the only advice that is ever given is garbage that obviously doesn't work but cannot be proven to those that give it simple because they still believe in the system (you need yo go to college so you can make 60k a year, be in debt, and still be unable to buy a house or get even a halfway quality wife)
