The founder of Lichess is now here: @thibault
For those who don't know, Lichess is an extraordinary nonprofit & open source success story in the realm of chess. It's one of the most popular chess servers in the world with >5M games played every day.
Like Mastodon (and the rest of the fediverse, and Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, etc.), Lichess shows that a different Internet that's not driven by profit is possible.
