    Webster's 1913 edition had "Etym: [Named from Americus Vespucius.]" in it. Sure, but what's that name mean? Per https://www.etymonline.com/word/America#etymonline_v_10975 , it's kind of interesting:

    "Work-ruler". :terrythinking: "Negotium populo americano melius quam otium committi."
