:zt_think: If I manage to get my Japanese down to a decent level (both reading and listening), I wonder if I'd be able to use Dragon Quest X to keep learning, since I play it a bunch anyways and it is rated CERO A (Which is Japan's equivalent of ESRB's E) :zt_think:

@Ronnie21093 I mean, kids play Dragon Quest so yeah. Most games aren't too difficult tbh, unless you count text heavy stuff like VNs. And even among VNs there are some piss easy ones
-
@locagainstwall Out of curiosity, do you think that could work, or would a game series like Dragon Quest have sentences too complicated for a beginner?
-
@Ronnie21093 @locagainstwall Early pokemon games are entirely in hiragana.
-
@locagainstwall :naruhodo: From what someone on the Discord server I'm in for the game told me, the game is primarily (if not only) in kanji.
-
@Ronnie21093 The game isn't Chinese, and it isn't from before the 9th century either, so it's not gonna be "only kanji"
-
@Ronnie21093 It's just gonna be regular Japanese: a mix of hiragana, katakana and kanji :wat: And I doubt it's going out of its way to use more uncommon kanji like 此の for この

@locagainstwall I'll go ask the translation team if they have a rough ratio of what the game has.
