They are really bad at identifying fifth columnist work, and so the only way for them to realize what's going on is to have things get to such a bad place that it's impossible to refute it. Even worse, now that the pendulum is swinging back, defending the localization is the NOT socially accepted position because of how blatantly bad it is. Before though? Oh you're just overreacting, it's not that big of a deal, etc. etc. etc. Think about how many people wrote you off for saying Body Type A/B was a sign of cancer? It's just a label and doesn't have any bearing on the actual game, right? So it's not important! But clearly it was important enough to change, even if it was just a label. You are always the bad guy for responding to the subversion.
     
     So Asmon putting this situation into the normie zeitgeist is just fair weather friendship at best. In this very particular case, I would think most of us agree to applying the good old saying we've heard for quite some time "utilizing your platform for social justice" :popuko_nod:
