   Had to pause this meal im having with my pupperoni to say, your soy dogs eating corn and garbage make me laugh. We eat REAL food and we do it together

     @Soy_Magnus mine eat a lot of chicken and pork. The Akita does ok with beef but it fucks with my golden so we tend to avoid giving them too much (meaty bones being an exception). They really like ribs. I also feed them yogurt and eggs and fruits and veg although I have to mask the vegetables because Kuma will just decide to fast if he catches wind of something like cabbage in his food unless it's fermented.
     
     When I have it I like to give them a little lamb but usually I only get one and the family eats most of that. I used to raise rabbits for meat and they'd get a bit of that too.
     
     My livestock guardian eats the same as the dogs inside but I have to cut the bones up a bit so she doesn't recognize chicken parts. I don't think she'd necessarily start eating chickens if she realized a drumstick is just a chicken leg but why take the risk. a couple swift chops is all it takes. She also eats a bit of chicken feed which I'd rather not have happen tbh.

     @thatguyoverthere NICE we only eat eggs raw usually. I its all eggs meat cheese dairy, and a little bread like cards here abd there. I give her a bowl of dog food here and there to keep her fat levels higher cause its winter but 95% real animal based products. The meat here is braunswieger

     @Soy_Magnus They also get fed from the table but it's not a huge part of their diet. They get a little bread here and there, and of course with a toddler running around the dogs manage to sneak plenty of his food. He actually gives it to them more than them sneaking it if I'm being honest. He can't hold out on begging eyes and they know it. The other day he made me really proud though because some grape jelly had fallen on the floor and I was going to let the dog lick it up not thinking, and HE reminded ME that dogs can't eat grapes. Such a good memory. I drilled that home with him a while back with the whole fruit and he put it together on his own that the jelly had grapes in it.

     If I want bones that will last a while I look for the longer soup bones with the marrow still inside. If you buy beef in bulk (half cow) that's the best because you can have the bones cut however you want. I think you can probably go to a real butcher and get good bones though. The marrow is really what they want and if you give them one they have to push their snout into to get at they'll spend a while working it from both sides. It's kind of like a cong filled with peanutbutter but way better for them.

     @Soy_Magnus They are poisonous to them apparently although the specific component that can harm them is unknown. I think I've read that sometimes it might be fine and others a single grape could really fuck them up. I've just stayed away from them all together, and I'm so glad the bubba was on his game the other day.

     @Soy_Magnus maybe I have never felt inclined to experiment. It could also be the species of grape or where they're grown I don't know but I figure it's not a huge loss to them to avoid.

     @Soy_Magnus the fact that they don't know why is weird. Like I know why they can't eat apple seeds. Grapes is mystery. Now that I think of it I wonder if seeded or seedless plays a role. Either way I just stay away.

     @thatguyoverthere i know why they cabt have chocolate its what it gets metabolized ibto and erythrotol causes their bodies to flood with insulin saoking up all thier carbs and killing them by starving thier cells, but shes eaten grapes i had no idea that was an issue lol
