If you don't want to use Windows and you don't want to use any esoteric flavor of Linux, you can only go for a normie Linux, and someone somewhere will complain that this or that specific flavor of normie Linux is pozzed or Spyware or whatever.

From the more normie Linux distros, I like OpenSuse. It's a polished desktop, with a relatively big community and development team behind it, backed by a company so they have some real resources, it uses relatively new packages and it has sane defaults and doesn't go out of its way to inconvenience you with sperg purity like Fedora does, while also not being turbo pozzed like Ubuntu.

  @mischievoustomato @teknomunk @Awoo @Zerglingman @MK2boogaloo Fedora's "problem" is not "not being european". The thing with Fedora is that they want to have a purely FOSS distro with only open shit inside and avoid anything proprietary because they are afraid they'll get cooties.
  
  Honestly, "FOSS-only" is a noble goal and all that, but for most people in the real world, it doesn't cut it. And that's why RPM fusion exists, so you can have an usable desktop.
