Tl;dr: this exceptional individual was hacking plenty of companies including Intel with no rhyme or reason or goal, just "fuck capitalism lmao" and posting the leaks to Telegram groups and the like and on a domain which got seized afterwards too. The group went into panic mode and closed after the bust and I saw some LARPing furry hacker group shit themselves too. Said person wasn't just using poor opsec, but even taking selfies WHILE HACKING COMPANIES (because you know that crowd can't help themselves). When he was arrested, nobody would even think about archiving what he leaked because everyone saw it as radioactive with no interest towards them.
At least the Nintendo hacker did it for his autistic buddies online and knew what he wanted to leak and that was based.
Not even poop tier opsec, literally posting selfies to try to get people to want to fuck you while bragging you hack thinking you're untouchable. I'm talking dumber than the retards who hacked and phished Microsoft into getting an Xbox One devkit and trying to sell it on eBay thinking nothing would happen.
troon opsec at its finest. I do wonder though, why is it that every "hacker" wants some kind of fame attaches to their exploits? Like if I was one of those people you wouldnt hear a peep out of me, as I would be really anal about covering up my tracks.
e-fame of course and wanting to get their dick sucked.
Keep in mind, leaking source code also isn't seen as a good move in the FOSS community. See the ReactOS audit or the entire PowerVR fiasco: https://libv.livejournal.com/26972.html
leaking source in general isnt a good look. All the stupid freetards see source leaks as some gift, despite seemingly not understanding how lisencing works in the first place.
