   Ooo - finally making some progress with Authentik... just in time to hear that the sole developer''s accepted VC, changed the license from GPLv3 -> MIT, and decided to make it 'open core'... Ugh.

     Don't misunderstand me - I definitely think that #FOSS devs should be able to make a sustainable living! I just think that the VC model for development is destructive, actively working against the greater good. We need a different model, and I think it needs to be collectively funded by a democratic system.

     This is the sort of 'digital infrastructure' that should receive gov't grants for development rather than forcing the #FOSS developer into accepting VC cash and the almost inevitable ethical lapses that follow on from that.
