     I think a problem a lot of tech people have is they can't articulate something very well to people who aren't in their circle, and the same goes with using tons of empty buzzwords.
     
     That's one of the reasons the fedi struggled along with the fact that the branding for Mastodon is so much higher profile for example. I'm not kidding, my mom knows what Mastodon is and so did someone else I meet IRL today. But nobody knows what the fediverse is.

     @PhenomX6 @amerika @Moon the fediverse feels like the same thing as linux in hat its for autists and hard to market

     It's more "anyone who tries to market it gets yelled at", moreso when you look at the Soapbox flamewar, Eugen's marketing attempts, and how it's population in the west is usually autists.
     
     It's also Eugen is very tinted by politics as well, and as a result he's trying to cultivate an audience reminiscent of ResetEra for the fedi.
