     @jimmybuffettfanaccount This is why I think Remilia isn’t jewish. Canonically, ZUN sends mixed signals, but I think he just doesn’t understand the jews and is presenting an essential misunderstanding of the vampire myth, which is itself a fascinating thing. I think he created a more powerful meme than he meant to with the character of Remilia Scarlet, because she’s not jewish, so his portrayal of her is all the more interesting. Because she *is* a Japanese man’s negative portrayal of the West.
