@kirby It's more that "viable for gaming" is so badly defined. Of course linux is viable for gaming, you can play puzzle games on it. There, done.
As soon as you say this, the definition changes, and becomes "can run all the modern Windows-exclusive goyslop on it", and of course the answer to that is no; it's Windows-exclusive, why the hell should it run on linux?
I, and likely others, get mad about that question because anyone asking it doesn't actually want to hear a positive answer, they're just looking for an excuse to justify their laziness.

@Zerglingman @kirby yes, it quickly devolves into "well I'd have to take a 4% average fps loss on this one title (ignore the strangely smoother 1%s and 0.1%s) so it's basically worthless"
the decision has been made elsewhere, the complaints are excuses to not reveal that preference, not genuine problems asking for solutions

@birdulon @kirby Most fedis make equivalent excuses about jewtube.

@Zerglingman @kirby we love our user-hostile platforms

@birdulon @Zerglingman @kirby People make excuses about goyslop all the time. People need to let go of their addiction to goyslop. I know, I know, goyslop tastes great and is immediately gratifying, but you always lose in the end.
