     @kaleb being on a single-user instance, if follow a hashtag, I see posts only from people I follow, anyway 😁

     @kuba @stfn I like to follow people whose broad content interests/informs/challenges me, but I also like to see discussions on specific topics regardless of who posted them. Hashtags are topical flags, and following hashtags lets me do this. (Some mobile apps I’ve used make it hard to follow hashtags, so if you are unable to follow you may try a different app.)
