@foone That sounds like something a Wifi Pineapple mod could do... this is a terrible idea...
also, the names for devices is stored on the device, not in the cloud, and is readily queryable from a network scan.
So the answer to "what does this control?" is easy to figure out, which can be a bit of an unintended information leak
@omvargas I wouldn't do it either. that's why it's listed as a "bad idea"
@foone I wouldn't do that. You don't know what might be connected to a smart switch. A medical device? An actuator for some thing that hurts people if activated or deactivated? While these things have no place being online with no security, I'd rather not be the one that pulls the trigger.
Things can get really messy when you hack in physical space.
I found this out once when I had some former roommates on a big wifi network and I enumerated them all and it showed me the names of some of their devices that I didn't want to know about
