>check Cataclysm:DDA development for the first time in a year
>dev team is now primarily shitcord trannies
>continued to remove things people liked because "muh balance!!!"
>recent change removed the concept of "charges" from items
>now every single grain of salt, every single bit of gunpowder, and every single pill is an individual item that has to be tracked and managed
>performance is now dogshit
>dev who merged this was warned repeatedly and responded with "not my problem, someone else will fix it later"
>this has also broken essentially all mods for the game
I didn't think it could get worse, but somehow it did. :kek_pain:
I don't know if I should be laughing at how comically inept the new dev team is, or sad that a game I loved so much has been butchered so thoroughly :bocchi_dead:
- :awoo_tired: shotgun snuggler :clownpiece_smug: likes this.

@Giganova8 @Tactical >Apparently being open-source is an excuse to just forego any semblance of quality control.
Welcome to FOSS, where everyone can pretend to be a developer!

@Tactical
That's the excuse given to anyone who complains about this shit, they'll just say "it's open source, fork it and do it yourself!!! :soy: ". Apparently being open-source is an excuse to just forego any semblance of quality control. :sui_disgust:

@Tactical
Because "maintainability" is more important than gameplay (the devs are lazy and want everything to be easy to do with automated scripts). :noa_disgust:
Besides, if you don't like it, just fork it and do it yourself, chud!!!! :soy2:

@Giganova8 oh, so that's why an youtuber I follow who used to play DDA was saying in a video that he was looking for a substitute for his fix, because DDA was not cutting it anymore. He refused to elaborate, and now I know why (complaining about tranny devs is a surefire way to get rekt by jewtube).

Why are they wasting dev time reworking "charges"? I'm still waiting on the gameplay to improve beyond "ehh"
