     • Making mixed media murals to sell on etsy
     • Vintage wedding dress collecting, design, and remanufacturing
     • Classic leather houses, their design philosophy, and the values of each distinct era’s pieces
     • Quilting, particularly with unorthodox materials

     Each of those are things I’ve had girls gallop along in excitement when I began asking the simplest questions about them. It’s cool having a common ground, esp. for stuff that’s historic and classic. It’s cool seeing a woman sport that same streak we have in looking at guns/cars/etc, when she spies an old rumpled sack of leather at a thrift and begins excitedly telling you that “this stitching matches the way they used to do it up until the late seventies!!!! This is original!!!”

     I like it when girls are cute, sue me

     @givenup @rees @BronzeAgeHogCranker @Hyperhidrosis That’s why it’s unknown, though. Women will explore aspects of the world we’d never even think of. And any guy w/ smarts will be constantly looking at things and looking them up to figure out how the world works.

     We just never look at wedding dresses and think “ah, I wonder if older ones w/ real domestic silk are a treasured source of material today? I wonder what the market is like for old dresses?“

     It’s refreshing, and it gives you a theme for gifts.

Even when she’s talking about the design history, the patterns, the cuts of leather, the sales, the company’s track, it’s interesting to hear about this weirdo aspect of the economy I’d never look into. A lot actually dovetails into guy-stuff anyways, seems like the nazis are lurking in every good fashion house’s historical closet.

     Like a fragrance girl I knew used to know all about coco chanel’s involvement w/ the nazis, she was on board w/ the cause to the end. Chanel number five: The fragrance of selective TJD women everywhere.

I’m always picking up some new article or topic, it’s one of the things that you’ll all miss in the collapse. I love sex, but I love knowing things just as much.

     This morning I was reading through an industry doc about profitable egg production just because it was interesting. Yesterday I was reading about the pay rates for japanese professional shogi players. Before that it was how people try to find new varnishes to emulate the old strad violins.

     True, I have a large sexual appetite but its equaled by one for knowledge, as dumb as that sounds.
