   There's a non-zero chance that Israel might just take this opportunity to go apeshit and turn Gaza into a parking lot, because:
   1. Everyone who will hate them for it hates them already
   2. Everyone who supports them will justify it because "he hit me first"
   3. Their defense deal with Saudi Arabia is probably kaput, but there's really only lever KSA can pull and that's to run up oil
   4. Which in an election year is a disaster for Biden who is the one funding Iran
   5. And Islamic groups are likely to launch terror attacks against Jews in the West, but this inures to Israel's benefit because Jews around the world will be more driven to see Israel as a safe place to escape to and therefore something which must be supported, even if they disagree with the policies of its government.

     It's only "curious" if you're trying to process government propaganda as something which could potentially be truth. Once you understand they all tell a story where they're the hero/victim and it's a lie every single time, then it's just background noise.
