   There are very different kinds of "discomfort" and very frequently that word is used as a euphemism for being forced to tolerate what should never be tolerated under any circumstances. Discomfort from diversity is being stuck in a socially awkward situation where you're having trouble understanding someone because of a thick accent. It is not having to accept your car getting broken into as a normal fact of life. That is simply savagery.

     @sim well I just mean that diversity is going to have a degree of discomfort and if you're going to accept that you have to be tolerant and not just go apeshit.

     "Discomfort" is such a big sin to so many people that pretend to like tolerance and diversity.
