"Thats an US thing. There are "whites", "blacks", "asians" and "latinas". Europeans are white for them. from island to croatia, from portugal to russia. Asian is japanese, china, korea (dont know where they put the middle east and india but i think to indians or black). and latinas are from mexico to chile. They don't get, that every tribe or region in one country alone has his own history, traditions, heritages. Germany, Spain, France, Denmark, Sweden all have their own (on parts connected) history. Ghana, Nigeria, Southafrica are also diverse on their own. Japan != China != korea != Indonesia. They don't even get in to their heads, that Northafricans, aswell as South africans don't have to be dark or black.
They just group in "look a likes" and treat them differently. Thats imo rassist even tho they call it woke. If a movie in the middle ages has brits, germans (Bawarians, Franconians), saxons, french etc. the movie should be considered diverse."

@lina I suppose there is both to it, as it can apply to your country or yourself. Even to both at the same time if you are the reason behind the fall of your country for example. Or contribute to it in some way. We are raised in decadence now.

@lina Lol. That must be pretty confusing. I get the impression now that my country doesn't exist in their minds, except when they want to call us evil. Otherwise we are just a mishmash. Which is easier for them to revise given how much diversity has been displaced to these lands. So much for that being an evil thing to do.

@lina Fair, although living in a society makes it difficult that we just burn ourselves. But at least avoiding politics so you don't bring others down that way helps. Then again, it is difficult to avoid politics now as it has invited itself into the personal realm.
Still, it has been nice to talk with you about stuff like this. Europe has a lot of interesting history and it is interesting to hear what others have to say from other countries within the continent.

@sim Americans are probably the nation equivalent of teenagers. Arguably they weren't around for long, but how they tryhard at sticking to predefined identity boxes with absolutist zeal, act compulsively out of willful ignorance and unfounded self-esteem is also characteristic of the same age period. Everyone must be put in confines of some predefined ideology among a set of other competing ideologies, all mostly defined in various configurations of pro-thing and anti-thing. With perception of other nations it gets even worse, because now they have to put an entire association of societies into one of their boxes, and as with blind men trying to describe an elephant, they usually end up picking different ones depending on whatever subset they sampled at a time to the mounting confusion of everyone involved. Same with phenotypically perception, it must be surface-level and immediately apparent, otherwise it is no longer clear which ideological set it is supposed to cover.
