people need help with something to see if anyone knows about this issue
I have a router here with openwrt installed, specifically the model TP-Link TL-WR741N/ND v4 it is a fairly old one, but it worked well with this firmware, the problem is that already the firmware is quite backward and not working very well so I want to update it but already has the latest version available for this model and do not recommend installing a more modern version due to little flash and memory
I was wondering if I could install a different, lighter system that could work on this old device?

@Narbray You could always just relegate it to being a just a switch and get a better router instead, not sure how much further you'll be able to optimize your old device
-
@Narbray What's wrong with it anyways, if it works then it works, the hardware on most residential routers are very weak already
-
@poopernova I want to give it a use, it's for people who need it in a country that needs it.

@poopernova is having trouble and I thought updating the firmware could be corrected, but I found the surprise that it can't be updated anymore.
