   @triodug I watched a thing about this, it's mostly a scam. The houses tend to have liens against them that you are forced to pay to take ownership, and you have to bring them up to code which often isn't really possible.

     With the obsession with "cheap Japanese houses" I predict the Japanese housing market will be completely fucked in a few years
