Now that I've been through the training the cops who shoot dogs and civvies for no reason seem even dumber to me.
People on twitter will say it's a training problem but no. I can assure you it is absolutely a vetting and corruption problem. Institutions larger than a medium town get bogged down worrying about micromanaging everything and don't see the forest for the trees. Then by the time a precinct gets a full roster it's a bunch of assholes who "watch out for each other"

@Kyonko802 So hypothetically a swat team won't need to flashbang a dog if they were called to someone's house?

@MashpotatoesIII depends on what they're responding to. But I just saw a clip of someone trying to shoot a purse dog and hitting the owner, and then going "what I didn't shoot anyone" all while on bodycam.
The bar is not high and they still trip

@Kyonko802 @MashpotatoesIII I've heard many stories of whenever cops pull up to a range to qualify on their service weapons, everyone packs up and leave, they're often extremely unsafe with firearms and their egos make dealing with them problematic

@poopernova @MashpotatoesIII something about being a janny going to your head
