     @jacqueline yeah, i got the same vibe (esp through that table at baylibre and some replies i got asking around about a311d). and mesa support is already there. so this might be an interesting thing until rk3588 is stable

     @mntmn ooh!! those weren't orderable last time i poked at them!

     they look real cool, and i'm a bit more optimistic about the amlogic soc than rockchip (tho that may be baseless; just anecdotally i've found them better supported)

     @jacqueline with the pi i hit a dead end because the PLL for the dsi clock can only make certain freqs, and there wasn't a combination that our edp bridge+panel like. and stdp2600 will still take some time to get working (need to do another respin). kind of painful

     @jacqueline true! but one could make a thinner and large (in terms of area) heatsink... this worked quite well on the pocket (i.e. the heatsink is just 1 fully exposed copper side of a pcb)
