     @menherahair @c914483f88a605670069fe9add8474278ee3be3040826367cee82312b1f618b5 @lanodan Well crawfish are found more often in secluded streams under rocks and things, less often in open water like lakes (too vulnerable to being eaten by fish) but yeah that works.
     
     So like, he was a crawfish and crows eat crawfish so there could be an angle there about why would he bother to save crows who were his natural enemies but he goes on to see the devastation that happens to the world (the crows have developed napalm and other "scorched earth" type technology that destroys everything) and he also learns to value avians as a form of life and starts to value the world holistically instead of just his old narrow perspective from when he was a crawdad but he still has a crawdad brain so like, he tries to relax underneath rocks as an eagle or swim in streasm and it just doesn't work out. Yeah, I'm totally gonna do it!
