   So many people are completely slave to their emotions like this. Even people who think they're extremely logical and rational-- you gotta understand even if you're a "left brain dominant" person, the right, unconscious mind is always in full control. You take its dictats as obvious, impossible to disagree with. Without ever realizing you're its puppet.

     @animeirl I mean, I hate america's overreliance on cars too. I hate gasoline powered machines, they're loud and annoying. I hate sprawling cities designed so that EVERYONE has to have a car, even if they don't want one. I even hate people who overly identify with their car, think it's the number one most important thing to know about someone to judge their character.
     
     But you gotta dissect your own motivations and biases. Gas engines have a good reason to exist. They simply do the particular job they're used for better than any alternatives with our current tech.
