@SNEK @Saber it's very debatable. VRMMO shows technically has all the elements with the only catch is it being "not real". With the first arc of SAO making it a "stuck into" story really blurring the lines
I kinda don't care if people think of them as isekais as they're functionally the same in the end

The "stuck into" thing wasn't even believable. They could have escaped the game at any time if they really wished to.

@coolboymew @Saber I feel that there's a difference in tone and context. 1st arc od SAO technically is the most isekai since they're "stuck" but there whole narrative revolves about getting out. Most isekai don't have that element at all and they're about enjoying life in power fantasy land more or less. So even though later arcs are technically less isekai because they're not stuck, one could say they're more thematically isekai because they keep getting involved with the VR world.
