This is the nature of Taboo: that which is forbidden is subconsciously fixated on, similar to reverse psychology.

This is also why the War on Drugs created and popularized harder and more damaging drugs.

Of course pedo crimes like child rape and child abuse and child grooming should be exposed and punished VERY severely...

but tbh I think the extreme opinions about pedo-related thought-crime or gray areas like loli, actually drive it underground and make it worse. There's a difference between fantasy and reality, and ideologues like to pretend there isn't. This is counterproductive for actually reducing/stopping real child abuse.
