   if you dont know where to start with something just know that literally no one does. you will always find a better way later, that's the point of starting without knowing a god damned thing. you will always know next time how to start the next thing slightly better and yes, it is usually "yeah dont do that again". find patterns and and anti patterns, A/B test your approaches, record them in a way that is meaningful to YOU. dont forget to learn from the mistakes of others and learn their life lessons vicarious.
   success is the discrete summation over the series of the failures you learn from, from the day you start to the day you die.

     asking if you can ask a question.
     asking what is the best way for you to start.
