     @beardalaxy @picandor I only briefly played Neopets. I did play a whole lot of AC however. Perfect game to have as a "I'm a young teen and I do not have infinite money for games"

     @coolboymew @picandor there was an animal crossing forum I went to a lot and would visit other people's towns and trade town tunes. Met a girl on there that was awesome and screwed it up royally, still regret that to this day :feelsbadman:

     OSRS was a lot of fun too, I would spend hours on that with my friends and my grandpa actually played with us from time to time too hahaha! That was the only game I ever begged my parents to spend money on, for that $5 Runescape membership.

     @coolboymew @picandor osrs was super popular in my school because it was a free game we could all play together, and it was right after the time DSL started to become popular so we didn't have to hog the phone line

     @moth_ball @picandor @coolboymew is the membership content just free then? I wonder how jagex feels about that? I guess if newer content takes longer to implement or something then that can be a reason why they don't care.

     The exp boost is super nice. That's one problem I always have when I want to play some osrs. It takes way too long to grind stuff, it gets boring pretty quick and it's no wonder people bot so much.

     But yeah, everything's free. And there's none of that ESG bullshit that took over the corpo version a while back.
